Tuck shop owner robbed in Boshof

Three men were arrested for business robbery after they allegedly robbed a tuck shop using a toy gun.

THREE men were arrested for business robbery after they allegedly robbed a tuck shop in Boshof using a toy gun.

Police spokesperson Captain Thakeng said a tuck shop owner in New Extension in Seretse, Boshof was robbed at gunpoint.

“Three unknown suspects entered his business premises and demanded cash at gunpoint and took items such as cigarettes, lighters, two cellphones and a Cell Air machine. The suspects were travelling in a charcoal vehicle with no registration number plates,” said Thakeng.

“The incident was reported at Boshof police station. The said vehicle was identified and cornered in Dealesville. Members searched the vehicle and found a toy gun, as well as all the stolen items and cash. The vehicle was also seized.“

The three suspects, who are between 31 and 43 years old, were arrested for business robbery and possession of suspected stolen items.
