THREE suspects were arrested for stock theft by the police in Danielskuil after they were caught with goats that were reported stolen.
ZF Mgcawu District police spokesperson Sergeant Omphile Masegela said the suspects, who are between the ages of 25 and 45, were found in possession of a slaughtered Savanna goat worth R30,000.
“Further investigations revealed that two more live goats valued at R4,000 were kept at another location. The goats were recovered and handed over to the rightful owner,” said Masegela.
“The police urge all farmers to brand their stock to ensure that they are easily identifiable.”
