A THIRD suspect linked to the attack on well-known businessman Piet Els is expected to make a first appearance in the Kimberley Magistrate’s court today, while his two alleged accomplices will apply for bail.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sergio Kock, yesterday confirmed that the suspect was arrested during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
“The SAPS Northern Cape Trio Crime Unit, Kimberley SAPS Detectives and Crime Intelligence Unit followed up on information regarding the third suspect pertaining to the house robbery that took place on January 23 at a farm near Kimberley. On Wednesday, at approximately 3am, another 25-year-old male suspect was arrested at a house in Galeshewe.
“Anyone with information regarding the incident can contact Detective Warrant Officer Patrick Dibebe on 082 752 2577. The investigation continues,” said Kock.
The bail applications of the first two suspects will also be heard in court today.
