FIFTEEN-year-old Kimberley beauty Unamandla Vilakazi is jetting off to Curaçao to represent South Africa at the Miss Teen Mundial 2023 pageant that will run from September 24 to 30.

Curaçao is an island in the Caribbean Sea and a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Unamandla will be competing against other national queens at the international event after she won the Miss Teen Mundial South Africa title at the prestigious Miss Teen Universe South Africa national pageant in Durban in March this year.

Having a passion for education, Unamandla founded a non-profit organisation, the Unamandla Isagoentle Foundation, under the banner “A positive mindset for a positive future”.

She also hosted a shoe drive at DR EP Lekhela High School in Kimberley earlier this year.

The initiative was supported by Northern Cape Premier Dr Zamani Saul, who donated 100 pairs of school shoes to the foundation.

Sun Flamingo Casino has continued to support the school shoes initiative with a total of 400 pairs of shoes to be donated to 2024 learners in the Northern Cape.
