FRANCES Baard District Task Team, SAPS Crime Intelligence and Kimberley Flying Squad members arrested a 26-year-old suspected drug dealer after raiding a house belonging to a foreign national in Galeshewe.

Police spokesperson Captain Sergio Kock stated that drugs with an estimated street value of R50,000 were confiscated.

“On Tuesday, December 7, at about 8pm, the police followed up on information and searched the premises of the suspect in Galeshewe, where they found tik stashed inside,” said Kock.

He added that the 26-year-old man was expected to appear before the Galeshewe Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of dealing in drugs.

The Frances Baard district commissioner, Major-General Johan Bean, commended the team for their professional and relentless efforts in eradicating drugs from society.

“We thank the community members for being our ears and eyes and for displaying partnership policing at its best,” Bean added.
