THE Kuruman Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit are seeking assistance in tracing a person of interest in a rape case that took place in Batlharos.

Lieutenant Colonel Sergio Kock said the complainant alleged that on July 31 as she was on her way home from Gamonare section in Batlharos at about 3.50am when she was accosted by two unknown men.

“The men allegedly dragged her into a nearby abandoned house and raped her several times. The suspects also robbed her of R300 and a cellphone.”

He added that the unknown males could possibly be from Zimbabwe.

“One of them could be 1,55 metres tall, between 22-29 years old, dark in complexion, slender and was wearing a black hoodie.

“Anyone with information of the person of interest in the ID kit must please contact Captain Caren Nel on 082 492 3920 or 053 712 9800 or SMS anonymously to 32211 or utilise the MySAPS app. The investigation continues,” Kock stated.
