Upington police spokesperson Sergeant Omphile Masegela said police members were conducting address verification inspections on February 10 following the arrest of a 54-year-old suspect who was charged with dealing in drugs.
“Upon arrival at the residence of the suspect, the police found laptops, cellphones and watches to the value of R200,000. A 27-year-old woman was arrested for possession of suspected stolen goods,” said Masegela.
“During further investigation, another house was pointed out where drugs – including mandrax tablets, tik, cocaine and heroine – with an estimated street value of R92,800 were found. The police also discovered more cellphones and watches at the residence.”
