The Northern Cape Department of Education says that the 2021 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations got off to a smooth start throughout the Province on Wednesday.

THE NORTHERN Cape Department of Education was proud to announce that the 2021 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations got off to a smooth start throughout the Province on Wednesday.

Department spokesperson Geoffrey van der Merwe said that all 13,056 of the full-time candidates in the Northern Cape sat for the English paper on Wednesday at 149 examination centres in the Province.

He noted that no challenges or hiccups were reported at any of the examination centres.

“The department has placed monitors at each of these centres to ensure that everything goes according to plan. We are satisfied with the manner in which our examination centres are administering the 2021 National Senior Certificate examinations,” said Van der Merwe.

“We will continue to monitor and assess the operations at all examination centres for the duration of the National Senior Certificate examinations.”

Van der Merwe encouraged all school communities to continue to support the Class of 2021 until they have completed their final exam paper.
