The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a warning for severe storms in parts of the central and south-eastern interior. Large hail, heavy rainfall leading to flooding and strong to damaging winds are possible.

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a warning for severe storms in parts of the central and south-eastern interior. Large hail, heavy rainfall leading to flooding and strong to damaging winds are possible.

A warning of a high risk of veld fire conditions was made for Pofadder on Friday November 27 where the fire danger index was rated as being above 75.

It was stated that under these conditions, fires could develop and spread rapidly causing damage to property, human life and animals.

High fire danger warnings were also issued for Augrabies, Prieska, Groblershoop and Van Wyksvlei.

The day time temperatures are expected to range from 29-33 degrees Celsius until Thursday next week.
