SEVEN suspects are facing drug charges after police confiscated mandrax and dagga worth almost R700 000 allegedly found in their possession during a joint operation in the ZF Mgcawu district this week.

Police spokesperson Captain Sergio Kock said the information-driven drug raids took place from Monday 24th to Thursday 27 May 2021 in the Upington, Rosedale and Kakamas areas.

Those involved were the ZF Mgcawu(ZFM) Cluster Visible Policing team, Upington SAPS K9 unit, Upington Border Police and Kakamas Detectives.

Kock said the arrested suspects were charged with dealing in mandrax and dagga and should be appearing in court soon.
