A SECTION of the Kimberley Police Station was decontaminated on Saturday after one member tested positive for Covid-19.
Police spokesperson, Brigadier Mohale Raatseba, said the member is currently in isolation.
“The identified member is currently in isolation and the Covid-19 protocols will be compiled. The Community Service Centre is currently operational and members of the community are welcome to get required service. Affected offices will be decontaminated and will again be available for use once the processes have concluded,” said Ramatseba.
Meanwhile, the owner of Nando’s in Kimberley has dismissed allegations that staff are being forced to work after an employee tested positive for Covid-19.
The owner of the franchise indicated that he was not authorised to give any comment to the media, but refuted claims that any of his staff had tested positive.
“Nobody tested positive at the franchise,” he said.
