Industry experts will provide guidance as to how records management can assist in improving the work of municipalities, as well as the audit outcomes of municipalities.
THE SA Local Government Association (Salga) will host a virtual provincial records and ICT forum from August 11 to 12.
Salga marketing and communications spokesperson Dibandlela Nkume said the forum would focus on incorporating information and communication technology to improve local government records management.
Nkume added that industry experts, including representatives from the University of South Africa (Unisa) and the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) would provide guidance as to how records management could assist in improving the work of municipalities as legislated institutions and that of AGSA, as well as the audit outcomes of municipalities.
