NINE wanted suspects, who were sought by the police for various crimes, were arrested in Roodepan on the weekend.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam said the suspects were arrested after the Roodepan police embarked on a tracing operation on Friday.
“The nine suspects were wanted for various crimes, ranging from assault, robbery, theft, arson and contravention of protection order. Several suspects have been evading court appearance dates while others violated court orders. The suspects were arrested at their respective residences in and around Roodepan,” said Sam.
“The Roodepan station commander, Colonel Pieter Jansen, commended the police members for bringing the wanted suspects to book,” added Sam.
