Roodepan cops nab 14 wanted suspects

A team of Roodepan detectives apprehended 14 suspects who evaded and absconded their court appearances on charges ranging from theft, contravention of protection order and malicious damage to property.

A TEAM of Roodepan detectives apprehended 14 suspects who evaded and absconded their court appearances on charges ranging from theft, contravention of protection order and malicious damage to property.

Police spokesperson Captain Olebogeng Tawana said the suspects were arrested on October 5.

“The suspects were found at their various addresses in Roodepan and were classified as daily wanted suspects,” said Tawana.

He added that the suspects were expected to appear in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court on October 7.

The acting district commander of Frances Baard, Brigadier Charlotte Makgari, applauded the Roodepan detectives for bringing the suspects to book.
