The deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta), Obed Bapela, will embark on a roadshow in the Northern Cape to engage with the provincial house of traditional leaders, the Khoi-San leadership and the MEC for Coghsta on Wednesday May 12.

Spokesperson of the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Unathi Sityata said that since the commencement of the Act the Khoi-San traditional leadership was now formally recognised.

“The Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders Act affords members of the Khoi-San communities to actively participate in the land reform programme and rural economic development.”
