The ANC in the Northern Cape has sent condolences to the family of Dikgatlong Local Municipality councillor Odirile ‘Benji’ Gopane, who died in a car crash on the R31.
THE ANC in the Northern Cape has sent condolences to the family of Dikgatlong Local Municipality councillor Odirile “Benji” Gopane, who died in a car crash on the R31.
Gopane was the ward 6 councillor in Delportshoop.
The accident happened near Pniel Estate just after 8pm on Thursday when the deceased was travelling on the R31 between Kimberley and Barkly West.
It is believed that he was travelling alone to attend an ANC event in Kimberley.
It is further believed that he lost control of the motor vehicle after trying to avoid a horse in the road.
