The Prieska police have issued an urgent appeal to the public for assistance in locating a missing 17-year-old girl.

THE PRIESKA police have issued an urgent appeal to the public for assistance in locating 17-year-old Shandrifa Louw, a resident of Protea Close 2438, Extension 15, Prieska.

Shandrifa was last seen on Wednesday, February 28, during an outing with friends at the “Koppie” heritage site in Prieska.

After parting ways with her friends at the Koppie, Shandrifa was expected to return home, but she never arrived.

She was wearing a pink top and orange shorts and she was barefoot at the time of her disappearance.

Anyone with information regarding Shandrifa’s whereabouts is urged to contact Detective Warrant Officer Marshal Bosman at 082 495 4868 or 082 351 8073. Alternatively, individuals can send an anonymous SMS to 32211 or use the MySAPS app. All information received will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

The police also reminded the public that there is no waiting period to report a missing person.
