NORTHERN Cape Premier Dr Zamani Saul is leading a provincial delegation to Barcelona, Spain, and Berlin, Germany, from May 15 to 20 to attend the Green Hydrogen Global Assembly and Exhibition taking place at the Barcelona International Convention Centre.

Office of the Premier spokesperson Bronwyn Thomas-Abrahams said the assembly would present the Province with an opportunity to flagship green hydrogen projects such as the Boegoebaai port and rail project and the planned adjacent Green Hydrogen Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the Northern Cape.

“Subsequent meetings are also scheduled with business entities and government agencies in Berlin,” said Thomas-Abrahams.

“The premier will be accompanied by senior officials from the Department of Economic Development and Tourism in the Province.”

Thomas-Abrahams said the MEC for Roads and Public Works, Fufe Makatong, was appointed as the acting premier.
