Premier, acting public protector sign agreement to eradicate corruption, improve services

A MEMORANDUM of understanding was signed by Northern Cape Premier Dr Zamani Saul and Acting Public Protector Kholeka Gcaleka during her visit to Kimberley on Tuesday.

Communications manager in the Office of the Premier, Monwabisi Nkompela said the memorandum was a commitment to co-operate in combating and eradicating fraud, corruption, maladministration and malpractice in the Northern Cape and ensure effective and efficient service delivery.

“Provincial government remains committed to building a transparent, accountable and ethical government,” said Nkompela.

Gcaleka stated that she visited the offices in Upington to check on the well-being of employees and followed up on governance and service delivery issues.
