The Postmasburg SAPS Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit has requested the public’s assistance in locating a rape suspect.
THE POSTMASBURG SAPS Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit has requested the public’s assistance in locating a rape suspect who offered his victim a lift on Christmas Day.
SAPS communication officer, Warrant Officer Nomvuyo Makoloi said a 29-year-old woman was walking home from Newtown to Postdene during the early hours of December 25 last year when the unknown suspect offered her a lift.
“The suspect drove a white Renault with a North West registration plate,” said Makoloi.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is requested to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Lionel Rooiland, on 076 013 5329.
Makoloi said that all information received would be treated as confidential.
