The police have requested the public’s assistance in tracing a suspect who is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting.
THE POSTMASBURG police have requested the public’s assistance in tracing a suspect who is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 36-year-old man, Paseka Oosthuizen.
Northern Cape police spokesperson Colonel Mashay Gamieldien said the deceased was shot in Call Street in Newton on October 15, 2021.
“The incident occurred at about 9pm. It is alleged that the deceased was shot and died on the scene. According to information, the suspect fled the scene immediately after the incident. He was wearing grey trousers and a black jacket,” said Gamieldien.
She added that all information would be treated as confidential.
“All information will be treated with confidentiality and the police emergency number, 08600 10111, can be contacted or information can be sent via the MYSAPS app,” Gamieldien said.
