THE SAPS Crime Intelligence and K9 units arrested a suspect in Sontlaba Street, Galeshewe, and seized drugs with an estimated street value of about R12,000.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Sergio Kock said the police found mandrax and drugs hidden inside the suspect’s residence on September 11.

“The drugs were discovered hidden inside a shoebox in a cupboard with the help of the K9 narcotics dog,” said Kock.

He added that the suspect was expected to appear in the Galeshewe Magistrate’s Court soon.

“The investigation continues,” Kock stated.
