Police seek help finding mentally challenged man

The Roodepan police have requested the public’s assistance in locating a 51-year-old mentally challenged man, Richard “Majaivana” Oranotse Mokale.

THE ROODEPAN police have requested assistance in locating a 51-year-old mentally challenged man, Richard “Majaivana” Oranotse Mokale.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam said Mokale was last seen going to a tuck shop by his sister on March 30.

“Mokale resides in the Bobo Se Plaas informal settlement in Lerato Park. He was last seen by his sister going to a tuck shop to buy biscuits. He is mentally challenged and likes to walk from home to different drinking establishments, listening to music and dancing.”

Sam urged anyone who might have information on the whereabouts of Mokale to contact the police.

“Anyone with information can contact Detective Warrant Officer Christo Vermeulen on 083 500 7731 or 08600 10111 or SMS anonymously to 32211 or use the MySAPS app. All information received will be treated confidentially.

“Members of the public are reminded that there is no waiting period to report a missing person,” Sam concluded.
