FURNITURE valued at R10,000 that was stolen during a burglary last year was recovered by members of Kanoeneiland detectives.

Northern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Omphile Masegela said that the burglary took place in September 2022 where items to the value of R137,000 were reported as stolen.

“The investigating officer followed leads, where he discovered that the furniture was transported to Kuruman. Upon further investigation, the reported furniture was found at a residence in Pietersam near Kuruman.”

Masegela added that a suspect was being detained at a correctional facility in connection with another housebreaking and theft case.

“Police investigations are continuing.”
