TWO SUSPECTS were arrested just hours after an armed robbery in the Kimberley CBD on Monday.

According to police spokesperson, Captain Sergio Kock, the suspects, aged 31 and 39 respectively, will be appearing in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court soon, while the vehicle believed to have been used in the commission of the crime has been confiscated.

“At about 5pm on Monday, two men allegedly held a 39-year-old businessman at gunpoint while he was sitting in his motor vehicle in front of a wholesaler in the CBD,” Kock confirmed yesterday.

“The suspects fled with a substantial amount of money and some cigarettes that the victim had bought at the wholesalers.”
