The Kimberley police have opened an inquest docket following the discovery of the body of a 56-year-old woman at her residence in Stamford Street on Saturday.

THE KIMBERLEY police have opened an inquest docket following the discovery of the body of a 56-year-old woman at her residence in Stamford Street on Saturday.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Dikeledi Gopane said the woman’s body was apparently found by a family member.

“It is alleged that the body of the deceased female was found by a family member who alerted the police about the incident. The police are requesting the assistance of the public who can help with any information regarding the incident. Anyone with information can contact the SAPS emergency number 08600 10111 or via the MySAPS app. All information will be treated confidentially. Police investigations are continuing,” said Gopane.
