PASTORS from the Provincial Churches Leaders Organisation intend to stage a march and hand over a memorandum to Sol Plaatje Municipality, in their quest for land to be made available for churches in the city.

The secretary-general of the Provincial Churches Leaders Organisation, Pastor David Setilo, said they would convene an urgent meeting on June 25 at Bishop Steven Buffel’s church in Phutanang at 2.30pm to plan the march.

“We requested to meet with stakeholders from Sol Plaatje Municipality on several occasions and no response was received,” said Setilo.

“The situation has reached boiling point and it appears as if we are not being taken seriously.

“We, as church leaders, are only good enough to vote for the ruling party, while we are given the cold shoulder when we ask for assistance.”
