A 34-YEAR-old man is expected to appear in the Griquatown Magistrate’s Court today after a tip-off from the public resulted in his arrest on Tuesday on charges of dealing in drugs.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Sergio Kock, members of the police confiscated three-quarters of a mandrax tablet, along with dagga with an estimated street value of more than R25 000.
“Ten black plastic bags containing dagga with a combined weight of 8.87kg, as well as 133 pokes of dagga with a weight of 300g, were discovered along with an undisclosed amount of money,” said Kock. “The suspect was arrested on the scene and will appear in the Griquatown Magistrate’s Court.
“The police investigation continues.”
