A HEAD-ON collision between a truck and a bakkie claimed the life of a 53-year-old man on the N12 near Modderrivier.
Northern Cape police spokesperson Captain Olebogeng Tawana said the Modderrivier police are investigating a case of culpable homicide following a head-on collision on the N12 on Saturday, April 16.
Tawana said the accident happened at approximately 6.30pm during heavy rain.
“A 53-year-old man was certified dead on the scene and four others were transported to the hospital with serious and moderate injuries. The truck driver survived the accident without any injuries,” said Tawana.
He added that the cause of the accident is yet to be determined.
