AN ACCIDENT on the R31 involving a bakkie and a bus claimed the life of at least one person, while about 15 others were rushed to Prof ZK Matthews Hospital in Barkly West for medical treatment on Sunday.

It is believed that the accident happened near Pniel, about 10km outside of Barkly West towards Kimberley.
