It is expected that the temperature will reach a maximum of 31 degrees Celsius during the day.

The African National Congress (ANC) has urged all its supporters and members, who will be part of the 108th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday at the Tafel Lager Park Stadium in Kimberley, to prepare themselves for the hot weather as no umbrellas will be allowed into the venue.

According to weather predictions from the South African Weather Services (SAWS), the maximum temperature in Kimberley will reach up to 31 degrees Celsius during the day.

The ANC calls on all people to take all necessary precautions to ensure that the celebrations proceed well without any incident.

“People are advised to use sun protecting gears such as hats, caps and sun screens. No umbrellas will be allowed in the stadium during the celebration. We therefore urge all our members and supporters not to bring any umbrellas to the stadium,” ANC national spokesperson, Pule Mabe, said.

“We also urge our members and supporters to pay attention to weather reports. We are confident that the 108 years anniversary celebrations will be successful.”
