New head appointed for NC Department of Education

THE PROVINCIAL Public Service Commissioner (PSC), Anele Gxoyiya, has congratulated his predecessor, Moira Marais-Martin, on her appointment as the new head of the Department of Education in the Northern Cape with effect from May 1.

Gxoyiya believes that her work ethic and high level of professionalism will assist to restore the Province to its former glory of top achievers.

“We hope and trust that the officials in the department will welcome her as part of their team and work hard to accomplish greater things. We promise her the full and unwavering support of the PSC in ensuring the delivery of quality public education.”

He stated that Marais-Martin served the Public Service Commission in the Northern Cape “with aplomb” for 10 years.

“I have no doubt that based on her experience and her passion in the field of education, she will be able to lead the Northern Cape Department of Education with distinction,” he added.
