NORTHERN Cape Premier, Dr Zamani Saul, launched a new wi-fi project at the Augrabies satellite Thusong Centre on Wednesday.

Spokesperson for the Office of the Premier, Bronwyn Thomas-Abrahams, explained that the project was spearheaded by the national government communication information system that had identified the Northern Cape as the first province where the pilot project should be rolled out.

“The Thusong Service Centre programme is aimed at bringing services and information closer to the people. Currently, there are five Thusong centres in four districts in the Province,” She said.

Thomas-Abrahams added that this year’s annual week that was aligned to public service month to improve service delivery and honour officials in government would continue until Friday, September 18, having started on Monday, September 14.
