NC municipal manager tests positive, offices closed

THE SIYATHEMBA Municipality in Prieska has announced that its municipal manager, Ronnie Stadhouer, has tested positive for the coronavirus and is currently in hospital.

The municipality also notified residents that its offices will be closed.

“The municipal offices, excluding the traffic department, will be closed from July 21 until July 26, 2020 due to a Covid-19 case of one of the staff members. The only service that will be delivered by the municipality will be the selling of prepaid electricity, which will be sold from the traffic department. 

“If residents experience any water-related problem they can contact Martin Mgese on 081 846 6875. Challenges with refuse can be directed to Piet van der Westhuizen on 082 388 7073, while challenges of sanitation can be directed to Isak Pietbooi on 082 356 1668 and for administration and finance-related issues contact Van der Westhuizen on 073 481 4405,” the municipality said.

The municipality wished Stadhouer a speedy recovery.

“We would like to wish him well and a speedy recovery. We are keeping him and his family in our prayers and would also like to request the community to join us in keeping him and his family in their thoughts and prayers.”
