NC man gets 20 years for murder

A 47-YEAR-OLD Richmond man, Fuzile Kini, has been sentenced to 20 years direct imprisonment for the murder of a 40-year-old man, Zamile Hlela.

Police spokesperson, Brigadier Mohale Ratamatseba, said the Kini stabbed Hlela following an argument.

“On September 23, 2017 the deceased and the accused were involved in an argument. The accused took out a knife and stabbed the deceased once in the chest. The deceased was rushed to hospital and he later passed away. The accused was arrested the following day and later was granted bail of R1 000. The accused was sentenced in the Richmond Regional court on July 15, 2020,” said Ramatseba.

He said the investigating officer was commended for his investigation..

“The Cluster Commander of Pixley Ka Seme, Brigadier Nomana Adonis commended the investigating officer, Detective Constable Headman Nogqala, for a job well done,” he said.
