NC Health dept seeks family of patient

The Northern Cape Department of Health has requested the public’s assistance in locating the family of a patient, Witness Ophrey Nkuna, who was admitted to West End Specialised Hospital in Kimberley.

THE NORTHERN Cape Department of Health has requested the public’s assistance in locating the family of a patient, Witness Ophrey Nkuna, who was admitted to West End Specialised Hospital in Kimberley on May 4, 2006.

Department spokesperson Lulu Mxekezo said the patient was admitted after a short forensic evaluation.

Mxekezo added that the referral was made by the Griekwastad prosecutor.

“According to the patient, he is from Mpumalanga in a location called Mkundlu, next to

Matikwana Hospital. He gave the names of his siblings as Midrand Nkuna, Nantu Nkuna and Glen Nkuna, and also a friend by the name of Joseph Mlangeni,” Mxekezo said.

Anyone who is able to identify the patient is urged to contact Bertha van Zyl at the Social Workers unit on 072 263 5625 or visit the Social Workers unit at Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe Hospital. Alternatively, the hospital can be contacted on 053 802 2703.
