THE NORTHERN Cape Department of Health is seeking the community’s assistance in locating the family of a patient, Yanga Nkobe, at Connie Vorster Memorial Hospital.

The department said that Nkobe was admitted to the hospital in Hartswater in September 2019 and has since fully recovered.

Department spokesperson Lulu Mxekezo said that Nkobe was taken to hospital by SAPS members and he had no identification document and could not provide them with a physical address. “He said that his home is in Kimberley, but he cannot remember the address.

“He has recovered and is ready to be discharged, but hospital personnel are not keen on discharging him without a forwarding address. Hence the department is appealing to anyone who may know him or his relatives so that he can be discharged,” said Mxekezo.
