THE FRANCES Baard District Municipality (FBDM) in partnership with Magareng Municipality, Warrenton Tourism Association and Northern Cape Tourism Association will host the annual N12 promotion campaign from December 16-18.

FBDM communications manager Gerline Roman said the campaign was meant to encourage summer holiday travellers to travel through the Northern Cape Province en-route to their travel destinations to inspire them to consider holiday destinations in the Frances Baard District as well as the Province.

“The campaign aims to increase domestic sales to the Province by showcasing the many experiences on offer; to enhance awareness of the district and Province so that the FBDM and Northern Cape is kept in mind when selecting a local holiday destination.”

She added that the campaign aimed to increase visibility through the travel trade and use the marketing channels to reach a wider audience and to encourage local communities to travel within the Province and experience local tourism attractions.

“Our teams will be stationed at Pumla Garage in Warrenton on December 16 and at the Shell Ultra City in Kimberley on December 17-18 from 9am- 4.30pm. There will be exhibition stalls with information on attractions and activities to visit in and around the district and the Province. Artists and crafters from the Magareng municipal area will exhibit their products during the promotional campaign in Warrenton.”

Roman indicated that travellers could participate in lucky draws to win promotional items and other exciting prizes including game drive experiences and accommodation deals, amongst others.

“Sponsors who contributed towards the lucky draw prizes include Mattanu Private Game Reserve, Mokala National Park, Platfontein Lodge and Conference Centre, Kalahari Lodge, Flamingo Sun International and Kimberley Anne Small Luxury Hotel.”
