FRANCES Baard District Municipality (FBDM), in partnership with Sol Plaatje Municipality, will launch its N12 promotion campaign to entice holidaymakers to visit the tourist attractions of the Northern Cape.

FBDM communications manager Gerline Roman said that travellers passing through Kimberley on December 12-13 would be welcomed at the Caltex and Shell garages on the N12.

“This annual initiative aims to inspire travellers to explore the rich offerings of the Northern Cape, positioning it as a must-visit destination for local holidaymakers,” said Roman.

She explained that both venues would be active from 8am until 4pm and brochures, maps, DVDs, and other promotional materials highlighting the province’s attractions would be distributed.

“Visitors will be offered a chance to win amazing prizes in lucky draws. On-the-spot surveys will be conducted to capture valuable traveller insights and improve future tourism offerings,” she added.

Roman emphasised that the campaign aimed to promote domestic tourism to the Northern Cape by highlighting its unique attractions.

“We seek to promote the province as a holiday destination, enhance the visibility of the region and foster youth tourism development,” she stated.
