The Kimberley police have appealed to the public to assist in locating the family of a deceased elderly man whose body was found near the railway line near the Flamingo Casino on Tuesday.
THE KIMBERLEY SAPS Serious and Violent Crimes unit has appealed to the public to assist in locating the family of a deceased elderly man whose body was found near the railway line near the Flamingo Casino on Tuesday, October 31.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Molefi Shemane said the deceased was in his late 70s.
“On October 31, 2023, the body of an unknown coloured male was found near the railway line near the Flamingo Casino and was declared dead on the scene by paramedics. The deceased is in his late 70s, with a white beard. He was dressed in dark green formal trousers, a white long-sleeve shirt with blue vertical stripes, a black Nike baseball cap and red Nike sports sneakers,” said Shemane.
“Anyone who might have a missing family member fitting the description of the deceased is urged to visit the Kimberley Serious and Violence Crimes unit or contact Detective Constable Emmanuel Paul Jeffreys on 082 302 0407 or call the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or send an SMS anonymously to 32211 or even use the MySAPS app.
“All information will be treated confidentially.
“The public is reminded that there is no waiting period to report a person missing,” concluded Shemane.
