Man’s body found in dam in Kagisho

The Galeshewe police have opened an inquest docket following the discovery of a man’s body in the Paniki dam in Kagisho, Galeshewe on Sunday.

THE GALESHEWE police have opened an inquest docket following the discovery of a man’s body in the Paniki dam in Kagisho, Galeshewe on Sunday.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam said the body of the 49-year-old man was discovered by a community member who was walking at the dam.

“The deceased was declared dead on the scene by the Kimberley emergency services. Preliminary investigations indicate that a resident who was walking along the dam wall with his dogs spotted the body of the deceased and informed the police,” said Sam.

“The police are requesting any members of the public who may assist with the investigation of this case to contact the investigating officer, Warrant officer Dirk Thys, on 082 469 0130 or via the MySAPS app. All information will be treated confidentially.”
