The Kimberley police have requested the public’s assistance in locating the relatives of an unknown man who was found hanging from a tree in the veld near Barkly Road in Bloemanda.

THE KIMBERLEY police have requested the public’s assistance in locating the relatives of an unknown man who was found hanging from a tree in the veld near Barkly Road in Bloemanda.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Sam said the police have previously sent out statements in an attempt to find the relatives of the deceased, but all attempts have thus far been unsuccessful.

“The police released statements on Tuesday, December 19, 2024, as well as on Friday, January 26, 2024, about an unknown male person hanging in a tree along Barkly Road. The body has still not been claimed and the police are pleading with the community to assist in locating the family of the deceased. The deceased was wearing a blue and grey overall and dark spectacles,” said Sam.

He urged anyone with information on the matter to contact the police.

“The police do not have any information regarding the identity of the deceased. Anyone who can assist with information relating to the matter can visit the Galeshewe police station or contact Detective Sergeant Isaac Motladi on 082 469 0546 or 08600 1011 or via the MySAPS app. All information will be treated confidentially,” said Sam.
