Manne Dipico Thusong service centre relaunched

The centre that houses six government departments has re-opened to the public to access government services including applications for social grants, identity documents and municipal and library services.

THE DEPUTY Minister in the Presidency Thembi Siweya, Premier of the Northern Cape Dr Zamani Saul and Sol Plaatje executive mayor Patrick Mabilo relaunched the Manne Dipico Thusong Centre in Roodepan on Friday.

The centre was recently refurbished after it was vandalised twice during protest action.

The centre that houses six government departments has re-opened to the public to access government services including applications for social grants, identity documents and municipal and library services.

The centre in partnership with Afrovasion also offers free public wifi services to the community,

The Northern Cape currently has five Thusong Service centres across the Province, two of which are situated in the Frances Baard district.

A mobile Covid-19 vaccination site was set up at the centre on Friday, to encourage members of the public to vaccinate and contribute towards population immunity.

Youths were also able to register for the upcoming local government elections at the IEC mobile stall.
