THE KIMBERLEY police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a man was killed when a bakkie collided into the back of another bakkie that was parked on the side of the N8 road.

Police spokesperson Captain Sergio Kock said that a Tata bakkie was parked on the side of the road with a flat tyre.

“It is alleged that the driver of the Tata bakkie left the vehicle to fix the tyre and a 31-year-old male remained behind to look after the vehicle. A Nissan NP300 bakkie collided into the bakkie and the man who was outside the jacked-up vehicle. The man died on the scene and the female driver of the Nissan bakkie was taken to hospital for medical treatment,” said Kock.

“Anyone with information regarding the incident can call Detective Warrant Officer Desmond Markgraaff on 082 302 0407. The investigation continues.”
