THE SAPS has welcomed the 15-year prison sentence that was handed down to murder accused Aubrey Nel, 35, by the Philipstown Regional Court on Tuesday.

The incident dates back to April 23 last year, when Nel and his stepson, Duwayne Snyers, 15, had an altercation that resulted in the fatal stabbing of Snyers in Riemvasmaak, Philipstown.
