Cops investigating how the deceased gained access to the building in Phakamile Mabija Road

THE POLICE have opened an inquest docket after a man was found hanging from a building at the Kimberley police station in Phakamile Mabija Road on Monday morning, May 10.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Dikeledi Gopane said a security guard working at a premises opposite the police station noticed the hanging body at around 6am and alerted the police.

“The identity of the deceased is still unknown. It is being investigated as to how the deceased gained access into the building. No foul play is suspected at this stage. Police investigations are continuing,” said Gopane.
