Keimoes police arrested a 39-year-old man for allegedly dealing in drugs after drugs with an estimated street value of more than R27,000 was allegedly found in his possession.

Police spokesperson, Colonel Mashay Gamieldien said the suspect was arrested after police received information about the alleged matter.

“Members of Crime Prevention unit received information about a man suspected to be dealing in drugs. They operationalised the information and conducted a search at the residence of the suspect. Upon searching the residence, they confiscated tik and mandrax with an estimated street value of R27 800,” said Gamieldien.

She said the members were commended for the arrest.

“The Acting District Commissioner of ZF Mgcawu, Brigadier Johnny Besnaar commended the members for a job well done,’ she said.
