Man faces charges of alleged dealing in dagga

A 40-year-old man has been arrested on charges of dealing in dagga. The suspect was arrested at the Indian centre on Friday, October 8 at about 12.40pm.

According to police, the suspect was found in possession of three bags of Swazi dagga including eight plastic bags that were used to package the dagga.

Kimberley Saps spokesperson Sergeant Dikeledi Gopane said the dagga weighed seven kilograms and had an estimated street value of R15 000.

She said Kimberley Crime Prevention member Sergeant Mabeleng arrested the suspect after recovering the dagga.

“He was detained and will soon appear in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court for suspected dealing in dagga.”
