Man arrested in Philipstown for drugs

The Philipstown police arrested a 27-year-old man who was found in possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R2,000.

THE PHILIPSTOWN police arrested a 27-year-old man who was found in possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R2,000.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Sergio Kock said the police were conducting routine crime-prevention patrols in Philipstown on Sunday when they stopped and searched two suspicious-looking men.

He added that a 27-year-old man was arrested and would appear in court soon on charges of dealing in drugs.

“The investigation continues,” Kock said.
