The CEO of the Northern Cape Gambling and Liquor Board (NCGLB), Vincent Mothibi, is visiting clinics in various districts in the Province as part of Women’s Month activities to promote sober pregnancies.

The NCGLB assistant manager for education and awareness, Johanna Oss, said they were raising awareness and educating communities about the need to protect the well-being of unborn children as the Province had a high foetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) rate.

“By spreading awareness and support for sober pregnancies, we can create a legacy of health and empowerment that truly honours the spirit of Women’s Month,” Oss said.
